Conan Age of Hyboria Map

I’ve been working on this fan map for a while now, but it’s finally finished as far as I’ll take it for the moment.
We shifted the original version of this to align it more with the Robert E. Howard texts, and it’s thanks to Jk Hep and David Thomas (Rambling Conan Blog) for the double checking and keeping me honest.

Whilst it’s not technically ‘The Lands of Hyboria’, and rather the mainly western lands in the Hyborian Age, I like the title ๐Ÿ˜›

The files are ISO A2 size at 600dpi, so you can still print it off at 300dpi colour at ISO A0 size!
I hope you like it. If you print it and stick it on your wall, we need photos!

This link should take you to the three high resolution versions of the map as follows:

https://1drv.ms/u/s!Asryxq7YIiBZiOYQ5gvO7MSF0zDu5A?e=2S0KkC

  • Full version with borders and text labels
  • Version without borders
  • Version without borders and text labels
  • Mono A3 Version (with labels). This map was commissioned and kindly provided to all by Matthew Fenn

Snapshots of the different variants!

Need A Vacation? Try the Isles of Nukkertawa

Why not get away for the weekend?

Trips to the Isles of Nukkertawa are free. Just bring your imagination…. Oh, and don’t mess with the obelisks.

I’m just a LoRes version, see below for download link to full resolution file…

No one is really sure why not. I mean, they are so black, shiny and tactile it’s hard not to want to touch them… then the runes that you never spotted before start to glow deep red.

Anyway, besides that you can always do a spot of diving. The Golden Caravel was said to have sunk off the coast over a hundred years ago, filled with stolen gold.

You could alwys take in the views north of Reaper’s Point, but watch your step, those rocks are quite loose.

Sound good? Great! Pack your bags and a cart will pick you up and take you to the port in 10 Rounds…

Grab the Full Resolution JPG file here:

Have fun and don’t forget to pack your longsword!

Sevens Sisters Ark Expansion

The players in JamesCORP’s Mutant: Year Zero campaign have expanded their Ark! See my previous post here: https://monkeyblooddesign.co.uk/2020/10/16/sevens-sisters-ark/

The upgrades we talked about in the previous post have started to be constructed so we now have the additions of:

  • Sundial
  • Temple. The temple is built in a newly excavated area ready for the group’s further expansion of the Ark.

Check out some screengrabs of the new additions:

The Whole Seven Sisters Ark
The Sundial
The Temple

You can check out the live-streamed games here: https://www.twitch.tv/jamescorp, And this is where you can see the map reveal, and the players picking their hovels ๐Ÿ™‚

Krysonia & Leng Commission

In between working on my own projects, doing commissioned art/map/writing/layout works is a great way to top up the income so the bills get paid.

I was approached by Ken Swope to look at updating his own personal campaign world maps for the regions he calls Krysonia and Leng, opting for a full colour approach (US Letter at 300dpi).

We adjusted a few water flows and I think we created a lovely looking set of maps which join together at the ‘Karim Desert’ seam. We created both colour and mono versions. Check them out by using the slider

The region of Krysonia
The region of Leng
The maps join together such that the hexes continue between maps

If you have a personal campaign and need some cool maps, why not get in touch? Rates are here: https://monkeyblooddesign.co.uk/schedule-of-rates/

Cheers, Glynn
